Genetic variability of FABP4 c.328 G>A (rs110652478) polymorphism and its association with slaughter weight and carcass traits in Aberdeen Angus and Hereford bulls imported into Turkey

The study aimed to determine the genotypic distribution of c.328 G>A (rs110652478) polymorphism in bovine fatty acid-binding protein 4 (FABP4) gene and its effect on slaughter weight Aberdeen Angus Hereford bulls imported into Turkey. A total randomly selected 95 were used this study. Bulls housed for fattening semi-open pens approximately nine months with same management procedures. Genotyping FABP4 polymorphism, located exon 3, was performed by PCR-RFLP method.
